Join the creativity at Pins and Needles and come along to our monthly ‘Sewcial’, held on the second Sunday of every month.
The Sewcial is a relaxed and supportive sewing session designed to connect with your community while building your stitching skills. It’s the perfect way to explore sewing as a new hobby, tackle a challenging technique, or finally finish those long forgotten projects.
Led by Holly Simpson — designer, maker, and teacher — The Sewcial is a welcoming space where skills are shared and creativity is encouraged.
Holly will be on hand to guide you—helping you understand techniques and overcome challenges throughout the construction process. Together, we can problem-solve stitching issues across all kinds of making be it clothing, homewares, outdoor gear, upcyling or mending. It's a chance to refresh forgotten skills and reignite your love for the craft of sewing.
The class is currently limited to four participants (there will be a bigger table soon) and runs for four hours, from 10am to 2pm. Coffee, herbal tea and some tasty treats are provided.
This class is designed for everyone from beginners to those who have been sewing for years. You will need basic knowledge of how to use your sewing machine. Your project must be cut and prepped to sew, there is limited space to cut patterns in the space.
